Stuart Kime’s session
Great Teaching: naming it, seeing it, and getting more of it
Great teachers make a difference. To the most disadvantaged learners in our communities, they make a huge difference. But what makes great teaching? And what do we know about how to get (and keep) more of it in our schools? In this session, Stuart Kime will answer these questions by bridging some of the major gaps between the evidence-based theories of effective teaching, and the real-world practicalities of leveraging those theories in action. In doing so, Stuart will share a new approach to teacher professional development using the Great Teaching Toolkit, one that personalises teacher learning and roots it in the context of the unique classes they teach.
